Exploring the Archaeological Marvel of Perolniyoc
Next, you’ll embark on a moderate 1 ½ hour ascent to the ancient Perolniyoc archaeological site, perched at an elevation of 3,615 meters. This fascinating site is a testament to the ingenuity and culture of the Inca civilization, offering breathtaking views and a sense of connection to the past.
After exploring the ruins, the trail continues with a short 30-minute hike to the Rayanniyoc Camp at 3,700 meters. Here, you’ll enjoy a delicious, freshly prepared lunch amid the serene Andean landscape, capping off an incredible first day on the Ancascocha Trek.
