Join us for an exhilarating adventure through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, a treasure trove of history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes nestled between the Andean mountains. Our comprehensive Sacred Valley Extended Tour Full Day is expertly designed for adventurous spirits who thrive on hiking and mountain activities, providing an unforgettable journey through some of the most significant archaeological sites of the ancient Inca civilization.

Our day begins with pick up from your hotel, the we drive heading to Chinchero, a vibrant village that epitomizes the seamless blend of Incan and colonial legacies. Here, explore ancient agricultural terraces and the royal estate of Túpac Inca Yupanqui. The local church, built on Incan foundations, stands as a testament to the area’s layered history. Engage with local families who maintain the traditional art of weaving, using natural dyes to create stunning textiles that tell stories of their ancestors.
Next, we venture to Moray, known for its astonishing round terraces which resemble a giant amphitheater. Used by the Incas as an experimental agricultural site, these terraces created microclimates to test crops and are a marvel of engineering.
We continue to the nearby salt mines of Maras. Predating the Incas, these salt pans have been harvested for millennia. Observe the traditional methods still used today, where a natural spring feeds over 3,000 shallow pools, each producing the region’s famed pink salt.
Around midday, relax in the heart of the Sacred Valley with a buffet lunch in Urubamba, offering a taste of local Peruvian cuisine, prepared with fresh ingredients sourced directly from the Valley.
After lunch, we explore the fortress of Ollantaytambo. This site was a strategic military, religious, and agricultural hub, known for its massive terraces that climb the steep hillside and its remarkably preserved Incan architecture. The site provides insight into Incan urban planning and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Our final stop is Pisac, a majestic archaeological site atop a hill with commanding views over the valley. Here, intricate stone terraces provide evidence of advanced Incan agricultural techniques. Pisac’s market, once a local hub for trade, now attracts visitors with its vibrant array of handicrafts, showcasing the local culture’s resilience and charm.
As the day closes, we return to Cusco by approximately 7:00 p.m., carrying with us memories of the breathtaking landscapes and profound history encountered throughout this Sacred Valley Extended Tour.
